The upcoming sci-fi horror shooter Prey will bring players into a deep exploration of terror in deep space, and those looking for a little insight into the films that inspired the upcoming title will be able to do in the comfort of Alamo Drafthouse theaters soon.

Publisher Bethesda Softworks and GameStop have announced a partnership with Alamo Drafthouse for "The Inspirations of Prey," a mini film screening series that will showcase some of the landmark sci-fi films that served as influences during the development and creation of Prey.

Specifically, the screening series will feature MoonTotal RecallStarship Troopers, and The Matrix at Alamo Drafthouse locations across the US. Tickets for the screenings can be purchased a la carte for each of the four films, or tickets can also be purchased for all four films in the series. Tickets to all screenings in the series will also get viewers an exclusive Prey poster.

In addition to the film screenings, Bethesda and GameStop will also be hosting a series of four fan events at Alamo Drafthouse locations in Austin, TX, San Francisco, CA, New York, New York, and Los Angeles, CA from April 4 - 25 for a gameplay demo and more - more information and RSVPs can be found here.

Prey will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5th, 2017 - for more information and tickets to any of the Alamo Drafthouse screenings, you can click here.
