From Twisted Tree Games comes Proteus EP, a "musical exploration game" based around wandering around an island and finding various points needed to progress. What makes Proteus unique is that the music is "reactively mixed", meaning that it melds and changes depending on where you are and what's occurring around you. The footage they've released shows the game's wonderful sound design, and the game looks like a very soothing experience. I really enjoy the ambiance and atmosphere they've managed to create with it.
The game has no set release date, but the EP version is set to release for around $5. There are plans to make a larger version (the "LP"), but it's not being talked about at this time. Hit the break to view some footage of the game in action.
