For gamers who’ve been patiently awaiting the arrival of Ed Key and David Kanaga’s critically-acclaimed Proteus on the PS3 and PS Vita, the game has now launched, along with a new trailer below.

Proteus will be launching on the Sony platforms with new features, including, on either platform, islands generated based on the current date, and on the Vita exclusively, islands generated from the player’s current geographical location. Proteus will also support Cross Buy, so that gamers can purchase the game once for $13.99 and receive both platform versions.
