Prototype and Prototype 2 Come Together; Prototype Biohazard Bundle Now Available for PS4 and Xbox One (UPDATE)

[UPDATE – 7/14/15] This article has been updated to reflect that the Prototype: Biohazard Bundle is available for both PS4 and Xbox One, after previously reporting it only on Xbox One. We regret the error and have corrected the information to reflect its availability on both platforms.

While players on PS3 had the likes of Cole MacGrath in the inFAMOUS series to suit their open-world superhero needs, last generation’s Prototype and Prototype 2 brought its own blend of superpowered action to PS3 and Xbox 360 owners with a whole blend of powers, and now PS4 and Xbox One owners can get in on the action with both title bundled together.

Publisher Activision confirmed in a blog post that a repackaged collection of the original Prototype and Prototype 2 are now available to purchase on PS4 and Xbox One, collecting both games together for $49.99 on PSN and the Xbox Games Store, respectively. Both titles have received HD visual upgrades, high-resolution textures and effects, and improved framerates across both platforms.

The Biohazard Bundle for the Prototype games also includes the DLC for both games, with the collection totaling about 17-18GB of hard drive space needed to download and play. Both titles were developed by Radical Entertainment, which was eventually downsized and remaining staff folded into other branches of publisher Activision following the release of Prototype 2 in 2012.
