Today Rising Star Games made a surprise announcement of the impending European release of Drive Girls.

The game, originally developed by Bergsala Lightweight, released in Japan back in January. Like in the archipelago of the rising sun, it'll come to Europe exclusively for PS Vita.

The release date has also been announced, and it'll come in both physical and digital forms on May 26th. At the moment, a North American publisher and release have not been announced.

If you're not familiar with the game, that comes with plenty of fanservice and destructible armor, you can read an official description below.

Play as five different Drive Girls and transform from superheroine to supercar and back again, as you smash through wave after wave of mechanised Bug enemies attacking your home of Sun Island. An action and driving hack ‘n’ slash hybrid, Drive Girls features an epic single player campaign as well as local and online multiplayer for up to four players.

Blast and burn rubber through the high-octane missions, and in between visit the garage to tune, modify and customise your rides.

Enjoy the unfolding story and interactions between the Drive Girls as they bond and get to know each other better, forming close friendships amidst the heat of the battle zone.
