PS Vita Exclusive JRPG The Hero Must Die. Gets Hilarious and Weird TV Commercial

Today Nippon Ichi Software released a TV commercial for the upcoming PS Vita exclusive JRPG The Hero Must Die.

The commercial ius quite hilarious, in perfect Nippon Ichi style. The protagonist finds himself at his own funeral and starts asking around if he’s dead. Then he’s elated because his friends came, but finds himself shot down by the fact that everyone is talking ill about him.

Finally, God appears asking him if he wants another chance, the commercial ends with the protagonist asking “Eh? Who are you?”

This is pretty much the concept of the game, with the hero that died fighting a villain. He gets five more days to solve the problems of the world, at the end of which he’s destined to die again, but his actions can influence radically the way people will see him at the end of the game.
