Namco Bandai just released a new batch of information, screenshots and artwork of the upcoming PS Vita exclusive Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, that will hit the Japanese shelves next year.

The game will begin with Kirito discovering a new, unexplored area of Aincrad called “Hollow Area”, where he’ll meet a mysterious and yet unnamed girl that will try to kill him.

The battle system has been made faster and more active than inĀ Sword Art Online: Infinity MomentĀ for PSP. A sidestep move has also been added to allow Kirito to dodge incoming enemy blows.

Below you can see a batch of screenshots and artwork showing the Forest Shrine area, some battle scene, a boss called Hollow Reaper, Kirito, Asuna and the mysterious girl. You can also enjoy the key art designed for the game.
