TGS 2011: PS Vita Japanese Release Date Revealed

on September 14, 2011 12:29 AM

To all of our US folks, its time to start getting jealous of our friends in the far east, Japan to be exact. Its just been announced at Sony’s Tokyo Game Show conference that the lasest handheld and successor to the PSP, the PlayStation Vita will be landing in Japan before year’s end, December 17th. For those of you here in the states don’t run to call your favorite import store just yet, as there’s no word yet whether or not the Vita will be region free like it’s PS3 big brother. Either way it’s good to see the device launch at least somewhere by year’s end as it should be a positive indicator that the rest of the world shouldn’t be too far behind.
