PS3 Atelier Games Surpass 400,000 Units Shipped (In Japan)

A milestone was reached last week when Atelier Meruru: Alchemist of Arland 3 shipped in Japan – not only was it the best selling game of the week, but it helped push the Arland sub-series of Atelier games over the 400,000 shipped mark. Keep in mind that they’re talking about Japan only – only one of those games has been released in North America so far (by NIS America), with the second one set to be released later this year.

That number may seem low when you’re talking about worldwide sales of a huge title like we see so many times, but I assure you, it is just as spectacular considering that number is for Japan only. Here’s hoping it continues that way. We gave Atelier Rorona a rather respectable score, and hope that the next two games in the sub-series that come out in the West only improve upon that.
