NISA has revealed that their Compile Heart developed Japanese RPG Mugen Souls Z will be released in Europe and North America.
The game serves as a sequel to Mugen Souls, which was released in the west last year. The press release states that NIS has decided to “edit” certain elements of the title for the western release, due to their “sensitive nature”. Sigh. The game will be available digitally and physically sometime next year.
Critical reception of the first Mugen Souls was far from positive, so it’ll be interesting to see if the developers will do some things differently this time around. Either way, I love how the onslaught of PS3 exclusive releases doesn’t seem to be slowing as a result of the forthcoming PS4.
