PS3 Firmware 3.01 Fix Is Up

on September 15, 2009 11:09 AM

There was a lot of complains recently with the release of firmware 3.00 about the damn thing causing trouble with certain games. Folks who played games like Uncharted experienced perpetual standstills – god knows how many poor SixAxis/DualShock3 remotes were abused due to Uncharted being the responsible fucker that it was. Aside from bringing dynamic themes and other ‘nice’ features, 3.00 damned whatever play time some people wanted to experience. That is why Sony has released the now-available 3.01 update which addresses the issues players were having with the previous firmware update.

The update is not mandatory for those of you who aren’t experiencing any problems. So, those of you who’ve been frantically going nuts over the freezing issues that plagued your console with 3.00 can now breathe calmly and get back to shooting Haitians/Dominicans or whatever those guys are in Uncharted. Happy shooting!
