Developer Runic Games -- who you may recognize from the Torchlight series -- and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment have released a new trailer for their action-adventure game, Hob, which is PS4 and PC bound sometime later this year.

The new trailer is specifically titled "World Machine," and comes in at one minute and 36 seconds long. In it subterranean exploration is shown as well as one of the secrets of the world of Hob: that underneath its organic world lies a machine beneath. Traversing the depths of this machine world is said to reveal new secrets and new zones in stasis, waiting to be revived and lifted to the surface.

For those that don’t know Hob is -- as described by Runic Games -- a “vibrant, suspenseful action-adventure game set on a stunning and brutal world in disarray.” In it, players will discover their planet is in peril, and the quest you go on will be one that looks for one simple question: can it be mended?

The game notably features a wordless narrative -- akin to games like Inside, Journey, and Abzu. The story rather is said to unravel via planet exploration and by interacting with the strange lifeforms that inhabit it.

As you progress through the game, solve puzzles, traverse via a mechanical glove-arm, battle rogue creatures, and befriend little things called Sprites, the world around you will begin to repair and transform, opening new areas to explore.
