The PS4 has been launched in Turkey less than a month ago and it already appeared in a popular local TV drama titled Medcezir, as discovered by NeoGaf user RaikuHebi.

During the 16th episode of the show the console gets gifted to one of the protagonists as a New Year’s present causing quite the joyous reaction, as you can see in the video below at the 53:15 mark. The same character was portrayed as a hardcore gamer in previous episodes of the show, playing games on his PS3 (especially Grand Theft Auto IV), making this a quite appropriate product placement of Sony’s new console.

According to RaikuHebi the show is also popular in Greece (that does get a lot of Turkish dramas on local TV channels), and will probably be aired in Eastern Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Pakistan.

Considering that the PS3 appeared in previous episodes, it’ll be interesting to see how often the PS4 will be showcased in future airings.

He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
