PS4 Exclusive Bloodborne: Info on Weapon Progression and Game Length; Blood Won’t Be Censored Anywhere

More information on Bloodborne is filtering from Taipei Game Show, with a new interview with Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa posted on the YouTube channel of the Taiwanese website Bahamut’s Crazy Arcade.

The interview brought under the spotlight a few interesting new elements about the game.

First of all, we learn that there will be a form of weapon progression in the game. Weapons will be forged with increasing modifiers like +1, +2 and so forth. This kind of bonus will be granted to players as a reward for boss fights in the procedurally generated Chalice Dungeons.

Secondly, while completion time will vary from player to player, the game is described as “quite long,” longer than Demon’s Souls. Of course on top of that there will also be the Chalice Dungeons.

Finally, for those worried about the possible censorship of Bloodborne’s copious amounts of blood, they should worry no more. Yamagiwa-san clarified that the depiction of blood will be the same in all regions.
