PS4 Exclusive Bloodborne’s “Guidebook” Released by Sony; Shows Characters, Monsters, Weapons and More

The Japanese gaming industry has some interesting traditions. One of them is to distribute via game stores a plethora of “pamphlets” to publicize new games.

Some are rather basic, some are definitely spiffy, featuring artwork, screenshots and info, and for the upcoming PS4 exclusive Bloodborne Sony went all-out, putting on the shelves a free mini “guidebook,” that gives a full overview on the game’s charadcters, monsters, weapons and more. It even includes a couple new illustrations.

Of course we can’t have nice things, so the guidebook isn’t available outside of the archipelago of the Rising sun.

The thing is even proving definitely popular. I had to run around Tokyo since Saturday to find a place where the little bookets hadn’t evaporated.

But now, after managing to use an automatic scanner (with menus rigorously in Japanese) in a convenience store at four in the morning (God bless Japanese convenience stores… Really), I can finally share the guidebook with you.

You can check it out in the gallery below. Incidentally, if you’re interested in Bloodborne, we have something in store coming soon. And boy…You’re going to like that.
