Days Gone made its initial splash last year at E3 2016 when it was first revealed to the world. That being said, the post apocalyptic open-world action-adventure game with some survival horror elements is supposedly poised to return to E3 this year, and apparently in a big way.

For those that don't know: Days Gone is in development as a PS4 exclusive by Sony in-house studio, SIE Bend Studio (commonly referred to as Sony Bend). The game is set to be the first IP created by the developer since Syphon Filter in 1999, and will be the studio's first game since 2010.

As you may know, not a lot has been said about Days Gone: in fact it has largely disappeared. However, according to Sam Witwer, who voices lead character Deacon St. John, the game will be present at E3 2017 "in a big way."

As always, until a press release confirms that Days Gone will be at the trade show or until you see it at Sony's presser yourself, it's best to stay a smidgen skeptical. However, it would come as zero surprise if the game popped up its head at E3 this year, in fact I would be extremely surprised if it didn't.

Days Gone is in development for PS4 and is currently without a release date.
