PS4 Exclusive Deep Down’s New Gameplay Videos and Screenshots Show Amazing Action Combat And More

Today’s PS4 Lab broadcast aired on Nico Nico to promote the launch of the PS4 was focused on Capcom’s upcoming exclusive Deep Down, and to celebrate the occasion Producer Kazunori Sugiura introduced a few very impressive new gameplay videos from the latest build and shown a few slides to explain the game, some of which had screenshots that we didn’t see before.

The six short but sweet videos, that you can check out below bundled in a single clip, look definitely awesome, as usual with Deep Down. They actually show a much degree level of action compared to older videos, and include sword and shield footage for the first time. We also get to see targeted attacks (check out the one that stabs a monster’s eye straight out of its skull), deadly traps, the use of magical items, and absolutely lovely water and fire effects.

The screenshots focus mostly on the player housing feature, and If you’re wondering who the siren in the screenshots is, that’s “Odette,” the AI that takes care of the player’s apartment.

One thing is for sure: the more we see about Deep Down, the more promising it looks.

Update: we finally managed to translate the new information provided during the show, and to render a better recording of the gameplay videos with audio and improved framerate. You can find them here.
