PS4 Exclusive Driveclub Doesn’t Have an “Autovista” Mode; Weather Details Coming at Gamescom

on July 3, 2014 5:53 PM

The upcoming PS4 exclusive driving game Driveclub is just a few months from its release on October 7th, and Game Director Paul Rustchynsky has been providing more details on what we can expect on Twitter.

Rustchynsky mentioned that “as of right now” there isn’t a dedicated car viewer in the game, responding to a fan that asked about a feature similar to Forza Motorsport‘s Autovista/Forzavista, allowing players to open doors, check the engine and so forth. On the other hand the first person “walk in” animation is still in the game.

He also promised that full details about the PlayStation Plus edition of the game and on the weather DLC (including whether it’ll be free) will be announced at Gamescom.

Speaking of the weather DLC, he unfortunately mentioned that there’s no estimate for now on when the videos prepared to showcase it will be published by Sony.

Hopefully we won’t have to wait for Gamescom to see those, but that kind of decision is normally out of the developer’s hands.
