Among all the pre-release news on Driveclub, I bet you didn't expect this one: the game is making the jump to the TV series realm, at least in Italy.

The series, titled "Driveclub: Il Grande Colpo" (Driveclub: The Great Heist) will feature locally popular Youtube let's play personality Zoda as he organizes a heist to steal the first copy of the game.

Below you can see the first trailer of the series, which will be broadcasted on MTV each Friday from October 10th.

Here's a translation of what is said in the video:

We achieved millions of views, but there's something we still can't understand.

The success of gameplay [he means "Let's Play" videos, that's how they're called in Italy].

Basically, there's people that pay rent by playing with their PlayStation.

After a brief net search we decided to call Zoda.

(Typed on Google: "how to hit on girls with gameplay."  Again, he means "Let's Play" videos).

The next game on which I'll put my hands... Driveclub.

Zoda intends to organize a heist to steal it...and we'll follow him during the theft.

...Really?

Yeah Ciro...yeah!

Driveclub: The Great Heist. From October 10th, each Friday at 2:15 PM on MTV, and Available on MTV on Demand.

I'm not sure about you, but I don't know if this makes me laugh or cry... It's product placement at its finest, or at its worst, depending on how you look at it.

And no. This isn't a joke post. It's all real.
