PS4 Exclusive Driveclub Gets Details on Easier Difficulty Options and More; New Cars Coming Next Month

Driveclub is a gift (well, not really a gift, since it’s not free) that keeps on giving, today’s patch is definitely not the last update we’re getting. Game Director Paul Rustchynsky took to Twitter to give more details on what’s coming beyond.

First of all, the patch notes mention easier difficulty options for tours, but they will actually encompass races, time trials and drift challenges.

That said, easier difficulty options don’t mean that all trophies will be easier. As a matter of fact, they won’t.

Rustchynsky asked fans to wait and see for the approach the studio has taken, since it doesn’t devalue the stars you have already earned:

If you’re on the fence on whether to buy the Bikes expansion, Evolution is considering a free demo race to let you check out how it works.

If you’d like to mix bikes and cars in the same race, unfortunately the option is not a possibility.

While there are no cars in this month’s DLC, more are coming in December, and the studio has more free to unlock rides coming, but none tied to Elite levels.

Can’t say that there are many games better supported than Driveclub. When Sony repurposed Evolution to work on the game as a service, many wrinkled their noses, but it seems to be working.
