PS4 exclusive racing game Driveclub is speeding towards the goal line on October 8th, and Game Director Paul Rustchynsky has more information to share with future drivers on Twitter.

We learn that the iOS and Android app will be available at release or just before, and will allow us to create our club and club badge directly on our smartphones.

There is good news (or at least the hope for good news) for PlayStation Plus Members, as Evolution is aiming to offer the upgrade discount to the full version of the game directly at pre-order for those who are subscribed to Sony’s premium service. Pre-orders themselves should be made available “finger crossed” this week. Speaking of physical editions, instead, we learn that unfortunately the steelbook case is confirmed to be exclusive for Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Rustchynsky also promised that details on the patch which will add weather to the game will be provided at launch. Finally, he also gave an interesting piece of information in the form of the download size necessary to start playing the game, which is only 3.5 of the total install size of 17 gigabyte for both the PlayStation Plus and full versions.
