PS4 Exclusive Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture News Coming Soon; Meeting on PS4 Performance and More Today

The upcoming PS4 exclusive Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture by the folks at The Chinese Room is still shrouded by a veil of mystery, with information and absolutely stunning CryEngine screenshoys trickled down at a rather deliberate pace.

Looks like the pieces of the puzzle are finally falling in their places, as mentioned by the strudio’s Twitter account.

That seems to indicate that the game is already at least partly playable, and that the developer is working on optimizing the performance of the title on its target console.

Cryengine is notoriously a quite demanding development environment, especially when pushed towards its limits, and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture seems to be pushing quite hard. It’ll be interesting to see just how much juice The Chinese Room will manage to pull out of the PS4.

It remains to be seen whether the “soon” indicates a reveal at PlayStation Experience in December. Considering that a sizable presence of indie developers has been mentioned by Sony, that’s quite likely.
