Today Sony Interactive Entertainment hosted a stage event at Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong, showcasing about 30 minutes of Gran Turismo Sport gameplay.
I have to warn you that some of the clips below might be a little painful to watch. Two of the races had at the wheel the presenter, who basically decided to engage in a personal competition on how many walls she could hit. The other clips were driven by fans picked randomly among the audience, so the degree of wall bouncing varies.
Of course, we have to understand that performing decently in a brand new racing game that you have never tried before, on a stage in front of an audience to boot, isn’t exactly easy. So please don’t be too cruel in the comments.
I put the one pretty good run at the top, while the most painful clips are at the bottom, so if you want to avoid cringing too much, stick to the top. To ease the pain, I also included a bonus picture with Producer Kazunori Yamauchi in good company.
Incidentally, especially looking at the last video (which happens to be the most painful, sorry about that), it appears that engine sounds may have been improved since the last build we saw, even if it’s hard to be 100% sure due to the low audio and the presenter speaking (panicking) on top of it.
