PS4 Exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn Gets New Info on Progression, Stealth, Demo and More

Horizon: Zero Dawn definitely had a successful E3 showing, and with the additional time granted by the delay to February 28th, 2017, it has the potential to be a really solid title.

Recently, Game Director Mathijs de Jonge responded to a few questions on Twitter, giving more information on gameplay and more.

We get more color about progression, that is handled via a skill tree. It will require experience that is earned in “many ways,” including “tactical play.”

We also hear that stealth is always an option in the game, but it isn’t always the best option.

While de Jonge refused to provide numbers for how many animals and machine we’ll be able to hunt, he mentioned that the water in the game will be dangerous.

Incidentally, he also mentioned that the team tried to make each machine unique, one way or another.

Last, but not least, he explained that putting a demo on the PlayStation Store would require development time, and spending that time on the actual game is a better option.

Personally, this is my most anticipated game of next year so far (at least among those confirmed for 2017). I’m definitely willing to wait for it, and I’m sure that I’m not the only one.
