During Square Enix’s E3 live coverage, NieR: Automata Director Taro Yoko, Producer Yosuke Saito and Director Takahisa Taura introduced brand new gameplay for the upcoming JRPG slated for early 2017.
The video was very interesting, as it showcased a new area in the form of a resistance camp, surrounded by an area of ruins that will be the main area of the game.
We’ll be able to sell and buy items in that camp, and interact with NPCs in usual RPG fashion. It’ll also be possible to fight within the village’s borders.
Speaking of fighting, the video of course shows a lot of that. It’s PlatinumGames, after all.
