Today D3 Publisher released the first batch of 1080p screenshots of School Girl Zombie Hunter, the new game by Onechanbara‘s Tamsoft, bringing similar themes to a high school setting.
The game is indeed set at the prestigious Kirisaku High School, during the inevitable zombie outbreak. A bunch of girls pick up arms and start shooting them. Because that’s what you do when there is a zombie outbreak.
There are five main heroines: Sayuri Akiha, Risa Kubota, Mayaya Himeji, Enami Kamijo and Rei Kanazaki. The Zombie Punitive Force officer Anna from the Onechanbara series also appears with a support role, delivering supplies and weapons via drone.
The game includes 50 missions and a variety of weapons including handguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns and SMGs. Zombies are found everywhere in the school.
As the zombies attack and damage the girls, they’ll rip their clothes off, or maybe they were aiming a the clothes to begin with? And no, I’m not making this up, it’s in the press release.
The girls don’t seem to care all that much anyway, and have no hesitation about fighting in their underwear. Incidentally, the zombies seem to go on a frenzy when they see a half-naked girl, which can be used to the player’s advantage. Go figure.
The game releases in Japan exclusively for PS4 on January 17th.
