Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu came with a large spread on Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, releasing on December 8th for PS4.
First of all, we get a look at one of the minigames that will be included in the title, the “Clan Creator,” allowing the player to create his own clan and send it to battle in the streets.
It’s possible to recruit gangsters in Kamurocho and Onimichi in order to create the strongest clan, that will then engage in group battles with deep strategic elements. Interestingly, it’s also possible to receive and launch attacks by or against other players asynchronously.
Other in-game activities include the exchange of mail with a variety of characters, engaging on social networks, taking selfies with weird people, and training at the gym.
We also get some information about the story, but keep in mind that whatever you’ll read from now on can easily be considered a spoiler, so keep reading at your own risk.
When Kazuma Kiryu finds Haruka suck in an coma on an hospital bed, he discovers that she protected someone risking her own life, a little infant named Haruto, who is allegedly Haruka’s own son to whom she gave birth in secret.
Of course, haruka is in a coma, so she can’t confirm or deny, and the father is nowhere to be found.
Kazuma departs for Onimichi bringing Haruto along, but there he runs into the local Yakuza, that seems to be targeting the kid for some reason.
