Today Sega released the demo of Yakuza 6, and boy, it looks good. I just played it from start to finish, and it was a deeply satisfying experience to finally see the Yakuza series make the jump to the current generation with a new engine that makes no compromises to accommodate the PS3.

Since not many of you have access to the demo, which is granted only to those who purchased Yakuza: Kiwami, I took my usual metric ton of screenshots for your perusal.

It's worth mentioning that the game isn't final, and everything is rendered in-engine. In particular, Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi mentioned that cutscenes will look even better in the final game.

Gameplay is also smooth and satisfying, with some interesting new systems, even if most heat actions are still not implemented (but the ones that are look awesome).

Of course, there's a lot of work left to do, especially with camera control and overall movement, but the game is still several months from release.

Without further ado, I leave you with the screenshots. Just be aware that, towards the end of the enormous gallery, there are some screenies that some might consider very mildly spoiler-ish, due to the reveal of Haruka's look in the game. If you don't want to see her, just stop browsing when you see Kiryu kick a big bald guy in the chin.
