Gust definitely loves bringing back protagonist of older Atelier games to newer ones, and that's exactly what was revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu, showcasing the return of Sophie, Plachta and Oskar from Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book in Atelier Firis: Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey.

Besides Sphie, Oskar and Plachta, we also get the introduction of a new character:  Drossel Weissberg is a playwright with a slightly rough personality. Often acting instinctively, she hides a more thoughtful side that she occasionally shows.

Incidentally, you'll probably have trouble recognizing Oskar. As time has passed since Atelier Sophie, he has become remarkably thinner, so his appearance has changed radically from his old chubby self.

Sophie is now four years older and has a more mature look as well, even if she definitely changed less than Oskar. She will act as a mentor of sorts for Firis.
