The free to play model has been quite successful for Koei Tecmo with Dead or Alive 5, so the publisher decided to bring it back for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, that will be released on March 24th for PS4 and PS Vita.

In the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu, it was mentioned that a basic free to play version similar to Dead or Alive 5's Core Fighters will be released in Japan in the early summer. This core version will be available for both PS4 and PS Vita.

At the moment no details have been shared on the specific features that will be included in this free version, but we can probably expect a limited roster and wardrobe, with the rest of the characters and costumes unlockable via DLC.

On top of that, we also learn that "Premium Tickets" will be soldon the PlayStation Store, allowing you to unlock costumes and bikinis immediately with real money, instead of having to grind Zack money in the game for them.  Of course, this will be just an alternative method of acquiring that content, that will also be available via gameplay.
