Today Atlus updated the official site of Persona 5, that will be released in Japan on September 15th and in the west on February 14th, 2017, for PS4 and PS3.

We get new screenshots and artwork, and the reveal of the code names of the protagonists:

  • Hero: Joker
  • Morgana: Mona
  • Makoto: Queen
  • Futaba: Navi
  • Anne: Panther
  • Haru: Noir
  • Yusuke: Fox
  • Ryuji: Skull

We also learn that the circle button will allow us to climb scaffolding and walls, or to traverse between chandeliers. The control of personas has also been evolved. With the Direct Command mode it’s possible to attack at the click of a button, hit a weak spot and defeat the enemy. It’s also possible to attack again when the “1 more” effect is triggered.

During battles it’ll also be possible to talk with shadows. If the negotiation is successful, the shadow will become a persona belonging to the hero.
