Yakuza: Kiwami is one of the best examples of how remakes of classics should be done. It’ll get completely new graphics engines and a lot of new features to bring it up to par with this generation and make it even crazier.

It’s certainly very far from your usual upping of the resolution and framerate with somewhat improved models and textures. It also comes in a single package, which nowadays is something some might appreciate.

Today Sega released a long video showcasing a metric ton of gameplay of the upcoming remake of the first Yakuza. You can check it out below, and hope that Sega will bring it over after Yakuza Zero, with which it shares the engine.

Yakuza: Kiwami will release in Japan on January 21st for both PS4 and PS3.
