Earlier today PlayStation users were affected by an outage that caused the friend list, party chat and other PSN services to go down on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

Things are now going back to normal as Sony is turning the services back on, and friend lists are lighting back up, with party chat and other affected systems becoming available once more.

While the problem was solved earlier for some user, Sony just now gave the all green and removed the warning message from the status page.

We can only hope that the promised investment in new servers that Sony touted at the lastest revenue calls will prove effective, especially considering that now PlayStation Plus is required to play online.
