The PSN was hit hard during the holidays, and during the last few days the official status page indicated the connectivity as "intermittent." At last things aren't "intermittent" any more, according to Sony, that just changed the network's status.

Things are not yet back to normal, as currently the official status page indicates "heavy network traffic," mentioning that "some latency may be experienced due to high volume."

While PSN users had to bear with a lot of issues during the past few days, it's hard not to think about the Sony employees that had to spend that time away from their families to try and solve the problems.

Hopefully the status will go back to green soon, even if personally I had no issues since the recent network update.
