Double Fine Productions announced today on PlayStation Blog that Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin will be releasing for PlayStation VR on February 21.

Rhombus of Ruin is a standalone chapter of the Psychonauts saga that bridges the story gap between the original Psychonauts and the upcoming Psychonauts to. Double Fine has stated that it is  "a mind-bending adventure puzzle game made from the ground up for VR".

Players will take control of Raz in first person, and will be able to use his various psychic powers to affect the world and solve puzzles. Some of his powers include Clairvoyance, which allows him to see through the eyes of other characters or enemies and traverse the environment; Telekinesis, which lets players move things around with the power of Raz's mind; and Pyrokinesis, which allows players to set things on fire.

Double Fine also gave an breif overview of the game's story, which you can read below:

The story picks up exactly where it left off at the end of Psychonauts, with Raz, Lili, Sasha, Milla, and Coach Oleander flying off to rescue Truman Zannotto, the Grand Head of the Psychonauts. Their mission takes them straight into the heart of the Rhombus of Ruin — a mysterious part of the ocean as deadly as two Bermuda Triangles back to back!

When the rescue party itself is kidnapped and held prisoner in the Rhombus, Raz is immobilized and must use only his psychic powers to reunite his friends, reveal the identity of the mysterious kidnapper, and free Truman before the madness of the Rhombus consumes all their minds!

Psychonauts was originally release on PC, PS2, and Xbox back in 2005, and was re-released on PS4 last year as part of the PS2 Classics program. The long awaited sequel, Psychonauts 2, was announced during TGA 2015 and was subsequently fully funded on Fig. It is set to release in 2018.

A 360° for the game was also release, which you can see below alongside some screenshots. Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin is a PlayStation VR exclusive.
