Puddle is a puzzle game by Konami that is literally about puddles. End of story.
Actually, despite its mundane title, the game looks beautiful and refreshing. It’s a physics-based puzzle-platformer where you have to guide a puddle of fluid to its target destination. Sounds easy but there’s a catch, you can’t move the fluid itself, you can only tilt the world instead; kind of like that Super Rub-a-Dub game but obviously much, much better.
The player must cope with friction, momentum and master the properties of each fluid in order to ensure a safe and secure route. Obstacles such as fires and rifts will try to hinder your chances. The fluid motion is said to be very realistic so if you tilt too hard, some drops may be left behind, tilt too slow and you won’t be able to make certain jumps ala Portal 2 so you have to be extremely careful. Konami has announced that the game will launch for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 on February 25. Prices are uncertain as of now. I’m actually quite curious about this title, who knew puddles could be this interesting?
