Looking for something to challenge your mind and make use of your tactical skills then you are probably looking for a good game of Chess. Sony has announced this week they will be releasing the game Pure Chess for the PS3 and PS Vita.

Pure Chess will provided challenges for new and old players of the classic game. The game will walk players through the basics of the game and teach advanced techniques. Pure Chess features ten difficulty levels that have been verified by a chess Grandmaster that will test player’s mettle. Also featured in the game are a hundred different puzzles to work at solving that will improve skills.

Players will be able to challenge friends and family to games of Chess. The game features two-player local play or players can challenge PSN friends to asynchronous Play by Mail game. This allows players on the go to play a game with their friends at their own pace during any point of the day against up to 8 friends.

The game features three locations, pieces that look finely crafted, and support for full HD and 3D on the PlayStation 3. There is also work being done on DLC for the game that will add to players’ collection of pieces to play with.
