Ragnarok Online 2 Open Beta Delayed A Week Due To Overwhelming Response

on December 28, 2012 10:17 PM

Ragnarok Online 2‘s Open Beta was supposed to launch yesterday, December 27th, for English-speaking players, but that’s now being delayed until next week, January 3rd, 2013… because the game was too popular for its own good.

This news comes via Siliconera, who report the game’s portal PlayPark, and publisher, Asiasoft Online, didn’t realize how big a turn out Ragnarok Online 2 would bring, resulting in “severe congestion” on the beta servers.

This also resulted in all open beta character data being wiped out, unfortunately, until the open beta starts over on the 3rd.

Asiasoft Online will spend the remainding time conducting stress tests, and ask players to be patient.
