PQube announced they will be bringing the arcade shoot 'em up Raiden V: Director's Cut to PlayStation 4 in Europe on October 6.

The game will release both digitally and physically with a limited edition available containing the game's soundtrack. The Raiden series is regarded by fans as one of the best shoot 'em up series in arcades for 27 years. The PlayStation 4 version of the game will feature a fully narrated campaign in English, along with stages set in real-life location like New York, Paris and London, which is new for the series.

The story follows events after the most powerful weapons on the planet are taken over by alien Cranassians. In true hero fashion, the Raiden squad is there to meet and destroy the alien threat to save earth from complete devastation.

The Director's Cut version of the game will include new game modes and additional content, including multiplayer, which allows you to take on the campaign with a friend and extra level exclusive to this version of the game.

Furthermore, the game will support 1080p resolution as well as three new unique ships.

There is no comment about the game receiving a release in North America, but importing is always an option for fans.
