Looks like Preseident of Nintendo of America Reggie Reggie Fils-Aime hired Tomonobu Itagaki to write his lines. In an interview on Games Blog the Regginator (as he likes to define himself on Twitter) went on record saying: "I think for any game to compare to Skyward Sword, I think is gonna be a tough challenge. All the reviews aren't out yet, but I counted this morning there are eight perfect scores. I don't know if there's going to be a video game in history that's going to be able to compare to Skyward Sword"

While some level of marketing smug is to be expected, this can be really defined as fighting words. From what I have played of the game so far, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword really is a good game, perhaps even great (but I won't spoil Eder's upcoming review), but putting it above the whole industry? That might go a little too far.

Skyrim says hello, Regginator, but even just looking into Nintendo's own home, there are at least two awesome JRPGs (Xenoblade and The Last Story) that would have really no trouble comparing to Skyward Sword, and arguably leaving it into the dust due to equivalent quality paired with a level of depth that's quite rare in this generation.

Too bad that Nintendo of America doesn't seem too keen in releasing them in North America, despite the fact that Nintendo of Europe is already shouldering the localization costs. I wonder why?
