Relive the Memorable Dead Island Backwards Trailer In Live Action

Say what you will about Techland’s Dead Island franchise, but no one can forget that memorable backward trailer that introduced the game to the public. Now Cinedrone Pictures and the Machinima YouTube channel have released a live action version of the trailer, produced shot for shot.

The trailer, which you can view below, is nearly full live-action, besides the very end. It’s a surprised it took about two years for a live action attempt to be made, but hey, it’s better late than never, and it’s pretty cool.

Techland have since moved on to the cooperative first person dungeon slasher Hellraid, and similarly-themed zombie game Dying Light. The latter puts players in an apocalyptic world where their best defense is the ability to run away, and will be coming to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC sometime next year.
