The remastered PC port of JPRG classic Grandia II, now titled Grandia II Anniversary Edition, will be heading out for launch on August 24th. The title will be available on both Steam and GOG.com.

As a bonus, the port will debut with an asking price of $14.99 instead of the normal $19.99 for a limited time.

According to President and CEO of Game Arts and GungHo Kazuki Morsishita:

After careful consideration, we have chosen to retitle the game for PC to Grandia II Anniversary Edition in order to properly celebrate Grandia II’s 15th anniversary. The fans voted and, now, we are proud to bring a revamped edition of the classic role-playing game from Dreamcast to PC as Grandia II Anniversary Edition.

The port is based on the Sega Dreamcast version of the title and came about after a survey from GungHo Online Entertainment found that most players who completed it wanted a PC port the most. The PC version was revealed in May of this year but the release date was only confirmed today.
