It’s the end of the world as we know it and it all starts in Canada.
In the first video release for the new studio Pixyul’s survival RPG, ReRoll, they show off a detailed and geographically accurate Montreal.
The open-world action title, will have players traversing 15 square miles of the city in the games first level, or “Brick.”
“The game environment is an accurate representation of the city and features the heart of Montreal with iconic locations and landmarks,” said a press release. “The environment includes the old port, Mount-Royal, the city’s downtown, the financial district, Chinatown, many parks and the old Montreal. The diversity of locations within the Ville-Marie district is perfect to start the development of the game. It offers many gameplay possibilities and is ideally situated to be a stepping stone for future locations and releases.”
The game will pit survivors of collapsed society against the elements, other people and, of course, mutants.
The company is making an appeal for funding through its website. ReRoll will be funded in stages as each Brick is created.
