After being leaked a few weeks back and officially confirmed during Sony Japan’s pre-TGS conference, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is on its way to release early next year, and plenty of new details and a trailer are here to show it.
Released through the official Resident Evil YouTube channel, the first trailer for the sequel to 2012’s Resident Evil: Revelations shows off the setting and story of the upcoming title, and in particular shows that Claire Redfield, previously of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, will be the protagonist of the game, alongside Moira Burton, the daughter of the original Resident Evil‘s Barry Burton.
In addition to the trailer, new info released through Capcom showed that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be debuting as an episodic title, with the game to release in four weekly chapters available either individually ($5.99) or as a Season Pass ($24.99). Details also showed that additional game content will be available in the Season Pass not available in purchasing episodes individually – on top of that, the retail release of the game will debut after the episodic versions are out, and contain more additional content than what is contained in the Season Pass ($39.99).
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will release for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in early 2015 – you can check out the first trailer for the game below:
