Does that title sound familiar? Then you may be familiar with Robert Frost’s poem of the same name, which Spry Fox has used as a template for their game. Described as a roguelike puzzler, Road Not Taken is coming to the PS4 and PS Vita next year, exploring the question “What happens when life’s events throw you off the path you expected to take?”

The creators of mobile and PC games such as Steambirds, Triple Town, and Realm of the Mad God, Road Not Taken takes some influence from other roguelikes, like FTL and Don’t Starve. The game will also last for dozens of hours, and promises that no two sessions will ever be quite alike.

Check out the trailer below to get a closer look at the game, and check Spry Fox’s website for more details.

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
