Developer Harmonix has taken to the European PlayStation Blog to detail the roadmap for tracks coming to Rock Band 4 in 2017 from previous games in the franchise.
For the sake of not boring readers, no details on the technical challenges posed by carrying ownership entitlements across different console generations were shared, though the developer did mention that the challenges “have been substantial.”
Harmonix briefly stated, however, that it’s working closely with Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe to help smooth out the process, and thanked fans for their support.
A “rough schedule” is as follows:
- Rock Band 2: January 2017
- AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack: February 2017
- Lego Rock Band: March 2017
- Green Day: Rock Band: April 2017
- Rock Band Blitz: April 2017
- Rock Band 2 – 20 Free Songs: May 2017
- Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 2: May 2017
Rock Band 4 was officially revealed on March 5, 2015 and came to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later that year. The game supports old peripherals, though MadCatz developed new peripherals specifically for this newer installment.
An expansion called Rock Band Rivals, which brought new modes, venues, and Rock Shop items to the main game, launched in Europe on November 30th.
