Rock Out in Middle-earth With Lord of the Rings Online Players “Winterstock” Event, Featuring In-Game Concerts

MMOs are known for their uncanny ability to create huge (and involved) communities, and The Lord of the Rings Online seems no different with a unique (and rockin’) event coming to the lands of Middle-earth.

Organized through “Lord of the Rings Online Players,” a community-driven website created by fans of the Tolkien-inspired MMO, the game will soon be seeing its own in-game concert event coming in a few weeks to the online world called “Winterstock.” Driven by LOTRO Players, the event will be taking place over the course of four days and feature 19 different bands playing throughout the course of “Winterstock,” with the event being held outside of Thorin’s Hall on the Landroval server.

With each band playing a one hour set and featuring groups such as Animal House and The Chosen Few, the “Winterstock” event will be taking place from January 17th-20th, 2014 on Lord of the Rings Online, with the full schedule for the event available on the LOTRO Players site.

Ready to rock out with your favorite hobbit friends this January, The Lord of the Rings Online players?
