Rockstar Games announced last week that it would extend the GTA Online 'Festive Surprise' event's gift giveaway to make up for the outages being experienced by Xbox Live and PlayStation Network users, but gave no timetable as to how long it would be extended. Today Rockstar

" target="_blank">announced on Twitter that it will be letting fans pick up the holiday items again starting tomorrow on New Year's Eve through New Year's Day.The gift giveaway was meant to occur just on Christmas day, giving players fun items like clothing and weapons as a bonus stocking stuffer for the holiday. Due to the massive network outages, the company decided it was best to extend the event because such a large number of users were unable to reap their rewards. The Festive Surprise event also included new vehicles, snowball fights, ugly Christmas sweaters, new game settings and minor gameplay tweaks and changes. The event is still scheduled to end on January 5th as of writing, unless Rockstar decides to extend it further. GTA Online is the multiplayer portion of Grand Theft Auto V, which is available now on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. A PC version of the game is set to release on January 29th, 2015.
