Speaking with The Official Xbox Magazine in their March 2016 issue, Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson spoke candidly about the graphical powerhouse Gears of War 4 on Xbox One will be.

Delivering [with Ultimate Edition] the first 60fps multiplayer experience in franchise history really taught us a lot about what it means to have a 60fps culture on the team and we’re leveraging that experience for Gears of War 4.

Currently some of the Xbox One games that run at 60fps are: Battlefield Hardline, Halo 5: Guardians, Forza 6, and Killer Instinct. Previous Gears of War games all ran at 720p and 30 frames per second.

Like how the original Gears of War was a visual showcase for the Xbox 360, Gears of War 4 will be a graphical showcase for the Xbox One

Seeing as the first Gears of War on the Xbox 360 heralded the age of high definition gaming, it is not surprising to see those behind the newest entry want to once again push the console’s capabilities to its limits.
