Romancing SaGa creator Akitoshi Kawazu took to Twitter today ask fans for patience on the English PlayStation Vita version of Romancing SaGa 2. It appears that it will take "a few more months" in the oven due to "some problems."

Square Enix brought the game to Apple iOS and Android devices outside of Japan back in May 26, 2016, with Kawazu-san saying it would come to the PlayStation Vita in other regions as well that same month.

His update comes after a fan asked if the English PlayStation Vita version of Romancing SaGa 2 was still in development. A release window was never set for the western PlayStation Vita version of the game.

Romancing SaGa 2 portrays a multigenerational story following Avalon’s Emperors and Empresses as they attempt to protect the kingdom from the Seven Heroes, legendary warriors who saved the world, but have since been turned into monsters. It features a turn-based battle system and kingdom management elements.

The game was originally released exclusively for the Super Famicom system in Japan on December 10, 1993. It sold nearly 1.5 million copies worldwide as of March 2003 with Famitsu giving it a score of 26 out of 40. In March 2010 the game was released on the Wii Virtual Console in Japan and in January 2014 the game was released on the Wii U Virtual Console.
